Noel Salad(This Salad Is A Pretty Holiday Salad.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can cranberry sauce
    1 envelope non-flavored gelatin
    1 orange
    1/3 c. chopped nuts
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 drops green food coloring
    1/2 c. hot water
    1/4 c. cold water
    1/3 c. diced celery
    1/4 c. chopped, pitted dates
    1 pkg. cream cheese
    lettuce leaves
Preparation
    Crush cranberry sauce and put in pan.
    Add hot water and heat thoroughly.
    In a bowl, mix gelatin with cold water.
    Set 5 minutes, then add to cranberry sauce.
    Cool.
    When mixture starts to jell, fold in ground rind and pulp of orange, celery, nuts, dates and salt.
    Pour into a mold and chill until firm.
    Unmold on lettuce leaves.
    In a bowl, mix food coloring and cream cheese, then spread on salad to trim it.
    Serves 6.
