Mama Mia Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean ground beef, turkey or veal
    1 (16 oz.) container Ricotta cheese
    2 eggs
    2 c. bread crumbs or 4 slices bread
    1 c. grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
    2 Tbsp. oregano
    2 Tbsp. dried basil
    2 Tbsp. garlic powder
    olive oil for frying
    2 Tbsp. onion powder
    2 Tbsp. dried parsley
    2 tsp. black pepper
    2 qt. tomato sauce
Preparation
    In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients except olive oil. Form mixture into balls about size of a golf ball.
    Heat about 1 inch of olive oil in a large frypan and brown the meatballs. Transfer the meatballs, discarding the oil, to a large pot; add tomato sauce and continue cooking over low heat, covered, for about 40 minutes.
    Makes about 20 to 24 meatballs.
