Caramel Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cream
    1/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil all the ingredients except vanilla, about 15 minutes. Remove from fire.
    Add vanilla and beat until it begins to thicken.
    Spread between cake layers and on top.
