Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. top round beef or sirloin steak (1-inch thick)
1/4 c. salad oil
1 c. water
2 Tbsp. onion flakes
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
2 medium green peppers, cut in strips
instant rice
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 medium tomatoes
Preparation

Trim fat from meat; cut meat into strips.
Heat oil in a large skillet.
Add meat; cook, turning frequently, until brown, about 5 minutes.
Stir in water, onion, garlic salt and ginger.
Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes for round steak and 5 to 8 minutes for sirloin.
Add pepper strips during last 5 minutes of simmering.
While meat simmers, cook rice as directed for 4 to 6 servings.
