Apple Fritters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 Tbsp. oil
2/3 c. milk
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1 c. apples, peeled and chopped
vegetable oil for frying
powdered sugar
Preparation

In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon.
In a large measuring cup or small bowl, combine oil, egg and milk.
Beat with a wire whisk to blend.
Add to dry ingredients and stir.
Fold in chopped apples.
Drop batter by tablespoon into hot oil.
Fry until lightly browned.
Drain on paper towel.
Sprinkle the tops with powdered sugar.
Serve warm or cold.
