Fried Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. okra, cut up
    1 small onion, chopped fine
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    1/2 c. cooked cornbread crumbs
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Cook okra until tender in a small amount of water.
    Drain. Combine remaining ingredients, except oil.
    Mix lightly.
    Place oil in a large skillet, add okra mixture and fry over medium high heat, stirring often.
    Fry until golden brown, approximately 10 minutes.
    Serves 6.
