Granny'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. sugar
    buttermilk (add to get right consistency)
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Melt shortening in iron frying pan (bigger one) and get pan really hot.
    In a bowl, mix cornmeal, sugar, egg and buttermilk and mix well.
    Then pour hot grease in mixture.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 until golden brown.
    Serve hot.
