Plum Butter - cooking recipe
Ingredients
- 
                            4 lb. plums
 
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
Preparation
- 
                            Wash and cook plums in a little water until tender.
 
Press through a strainer.
Add sugar and spices to pulp; cook over low heat for about 45 minutes or until mixture thickens; stir often. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
Yields 4 pints.
