Sour Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. salt (pickling salt)
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 qt. water
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers.
    Place in jars.
    Put a pinch of alum in each jar.
    Combine salt, vinegar and water.
    Boil until salt dissolves. Pour over pickles.
    Use same recipe for dill pickles.
    Just add a dill sprig and a pinch of garlic to each jar.
    Seal.
