Sausage Cheese Strata - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bulk sausage
    10 slices white bread (without crusts)
    10 slices processed cheese
    5 eggs, beaten
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. green onion, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Brown sausage; drain.
    Place 5 bread slices on bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Cover with 5 slices cheese, sausage and remaining bread slices.
    Combine eggs, milk and green onion and pour over bread.
    Cover.
    Refrigerate 1 hour or overnight.
    Bake uncovered until cheese topping begins to melt.
