Lemon Delight Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. Jell-O lemon pudding and pie filling
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 c. water
    2 eggs
    1 baked 9-inch pie shell or crumb crust, cooked
    2 c. thawed Cool Whip
Preparation
    Prepare filling mix as directed on package for pie.
    Cool 5 minutes, stirring once or twice.
    Measure 1 cup filling into a bowl.
    Place plastic wrap directly on surface and cool thoroughly. Pour remaining filling into pie shell.
    Chill.
    Stir cooled filling until smooth.
    Blend in 2 cups whipped topping.
    Spoon over filling in pie shell.
    Chill 3 hours.
    Garnish with additional topping and lemon slices, if desired.
