Marinated Macaroni Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked
    4 carrots, grated
    1 chopped green pepper
    1 chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 can Eagle Brand milk
    2 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
Preparation
    Cook
    and
    drain macaroni.
    Combine first 6 ingredients in a large
    salad bowl.
    Mix sugar and vinegar in a saucepan. Heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Add milk and mayonnaise.
    Pour over macaroni mixture.
    Refrigerate 24 hours before serving.
