Dumplings(Makes 3 Dozen Dumplings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. flour
    2 eggs
    2 qt. water
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring to a boil the first 3 ingredients.
    Add flour all at one time.
    Beat with a wooden spoon until mixture leaves sides of pan and forms a smooth ball.
    Remove from heat.
    Add 2 eggs, 1 at a time, beat until smooth after each addition.
    Heat to boiling in a large saucepan the 2-quarts water and salt.
    Drop dumplings by rounded teaspoonfuls into water.
    Cook 3 to 5 minutes, until dumplings rise to surface of water.
    Place over stews or soup.
