Halirbsi-Stuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. rice
1 large cabbage
1 lb. pork sausage or chopped pork
2 onions
pepper and salt
Preparation

Cook rice halfway (not done) and let cool.
Core and separate leaves from cabbage in hot water.
Remove any hard stems.
Add meat, onions and salt and pepper to rice mixture.
(Mushrooms may also be added, if desired.)
Put mixture on leaves and wrap loosely but securely.
Put in cooking pot.
Pour boiling water over the rolls carefully and simmer slowly until tender.
Tomato sauce or canned tomatoes can be substituted for boiling water or serve with tomato sauce, gravy or catsup.
