Best Fruit Cake Ever - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pitted dates
    3 c. walnuts
    2 (10 oz.) jars maraschino cherries, drained
    3/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour dry ingredients over fruit; mix very well. Beat 3 eggs with vanilla, then pour over coated fruit and mix well. Put in greased and floured spring-form tube pan. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0, until toothpick comes out clean. Do not overbake.
