My Homemade Pea Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. small white beans
1/2 to 1 lb. maple cured bacon
1 small onion, cut in quarters
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 3/4 c. light brown sugar
1/2 to 3/4 c. molasses
1/4 c. maple syrup (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Soak beans overnight in large dish with water just over the top of beans.
Drain beans, saving water beans were in.
Divide beans into 2 crock-pots with other ingredients in order as they are in.
Add enough water to cover beans.
Cook on high for approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring gently from time to time. Turn down on low and cook for 4 to 6 hours.
