Chocolate Chip Graham Bars - cooking recipe

3/4 c. butter (no substitutes)
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. Golden Grahams cereal, crushed
3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. quick-cooking oats, divided
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. salted peanuts, divided
1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, cereal, 3/4 cup oats, baking soda, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in 3/4 cup peanuts and 2/3 cup chocolate chips. Spread into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Coarsely chop remaining peanuts; sprinkle over the top with remaining oats and chips. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Yields 2 dozen.
