Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    6 whole eggs
    4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat eggs well; add sugar. Add egg mixture to cold milk; beat well. Cook in double boiler until it coats a metal spoon. When custard is cold, add vanilla. Strain to make a smooth custard.
