Mom'S Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. raisins
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    pinch of cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. day old bread, cubed
    3 c. warm milk
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    pinch of nutmeg
    milk or whipped cream (optional)
Preparation
    In saucepan, cover raisins with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for a few minutes.
    Drain.
    Put cubed bread in greased, oven-safe bowl. Blend in milk and eggs. Add sugar, raisins, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Allow to soak for 5 minutes. Place in an oven-safe, larger bowl of hot water.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until custard is set.
