Banana Split Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. graham cracker crumbs
    4 Tbsp. melted margarine
    1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained
    3 to 4 ripe bananas, sliced
    2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
    1 stick butter or margarine
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 large container Cool Whip
    cornstarch (enough to thicken pineapple juice)
Preparation
    Mix melted margarine with cracker crumbs.
    Press mixture in bottom of sheet cake pan, 13 x 9-inches.
    Chill.
    Add cornstarch to juice; return to pineapple.
    Cream together the powdered sugar, margarine and eggs.
    Beat for 10 minutes (very important).
    Add vanilla.
    Place this mixture on chilled crumbs.
    Then add bananas, then add pineapple.
    Spread Cool Whip evenly over top.
    Chill well before serving with maraschino cherries.
    Nuts and coconut may be sprinkled on top.
