Banana Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 firm bananas
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    1 egg
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. crushed unsalted peanuts
Preparation
    In small saucepan on low heat, combine egg, sugar and lemon juice.
    Stir constantly until sauce bubbles and begins to thicken. Set aside.
    Slice bananas lengthwise about 3 inches long, 1/4-inch thick.
    Whip cream until it peaks.
    Fold in with sauce and pour over bananas.
    Sprinkle peanuts on top.
