Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. soda
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 oz. chocolate
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Cream the butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time. Dissolve soda in sour milk and add alternately with the flour.
Add melted chocolate to batter last. Bake 20 minutes at 400\u00b0.
Makes three 9-inch layers.
