Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    2 1/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1/3 c. light Karo syrup
    2 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    chopped nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Combine milk and sugar.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils.
    Turn the heat down to low, and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; add chocolate chips and remaining ingredients.
    Mix well, until smooth.
    Spread into an 8 x 8-inch pan and cool for 1 to 2 hours. Keep refrigerated.
