Garlic Cheese Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. water
    3 c. grits
    3 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. green chilies, diced
    1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated (I use less)
    3/4 lb. butter (I use less)
    1 bunch scallions, sliced
Preparation
    Bring water to a boil. Add grits and salt. Cook slowly for 10 to 15 minutes or until done. Add garlic, green chilies, cheese and butter.
    Stir until melted.
    Pour into greased 2-quart casserole. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and garnish with scallions (optional).
    Makes 10 servings.
