Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 level Tbsp. cornstarch
2 eggs, separated
juice and grated rind of 1 lemon
pinch of salt
2 Tbsp. sugar for meringue
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Boil the water\tand
1\tcup
sugar together.
Add cornstarch moistened with a little water and cook 5 minutes.
Then put in the yolks
of
the
eggs,
lemon juice, grated rind and salt.
Cool slightly and pour into the baked pie crust.
Cover with the meringue made
by beating the whites of the eggs with 2 tablespoons sugar.\tPut into moderately hot (375\u00b0) oven and brown the meringue.
