Roll (Yeast) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. warm water
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 egg
    4 c. self-rising flour
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Dissolve
    yeast in warm water.\tHeat shortening in milk until melted.
    Add
    sugar and allow to cool until warm.
    Beat in egg and yeast mixture.
    Add flour, one cup at a time; knead lightly. Pinch
    off\tdesired
    number
    of
    rolls
    and place in greased pan, or\tmake
    2
    loaves.
    Allow to double in size in warm place.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
