Stained Glass Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 2/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. light Karo corn syrup
1/2 c. water
flavoring oils
oil-based food coloring
Preparation

Mix in heavy saucepan and bring to boil. Boil to 300\u00b0 (hard crack stage) and remove from heat. Add 1 teaspoon flavor and 1 teaspoon color (both must be oil). Be sure to take from fire at exactly 300\u00b0 or it will become sticky. Pour candy on a foil-lined cookie sheet until hard. Dip in powdered sugar.
