Lemon Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/8 tsp. salt
    3/8 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. margarine
    2 tsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. lemon peel, grated
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, salt and soda.
    With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in margarine until like cornmeal.
    Add milk, vanilla and peel.
    Stir with fork.
    Gather into ball and work with hands to form a pliant dough. Shape into rectangle 7 x 2 x 1-inches. Wrap in wax paper and chill for 1 hour.
    Slice 1/8-inch thick. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
