T'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shelled roasted peanuts
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Chop peanuts, then sprinkle with salt and warm in the oven. Mix sugar, syrup and water together, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
    Cook over moderate heat until thermometer registers 265\u00b0 or a small amount of mixture forms a hard ball in cold water. Add butter.
    Cook slowly to 290\u00b0.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in warm nuts and vanilla.
    Pour on greased baking pan in thin sheet.
