Ingredients

3/4 c. brown sugar
5 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, flour and salt. Stir in milk slowly. Cook in double boiler until thickened, stirring constantly.
Cover and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a little mixture to beaten egg yolks and boil 1 minute longer. Add butter and vanilla; cool.
