Minted Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1/8 tsp. salt
    6 marshmallows
    3 drops peppermint
    3 c. walnuts
Preparation
    Cook together the sugar, corn syrup, water and salt.
    Cook until soft ball forms.
    Test in cold water or with candy thermometer.
    Add marshmallows; stir until melted.
    Add peppermint and nuts; stir until each nut is covered and mixture hardens. Drop onto paper, a teaspoonful at a time, to cool.
    These can be kept in a tightly covered jar for at least a week and can be frozen indefinitely.
