Apricot Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dried apricots, diced
    1 c. water
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
    2 c. flour, sifted
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. orange juice
    1/4 c. water
    1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Soak apricots in water for 30 minutes.
    Drain.
    Mix egg with sugar and butter.
    Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together alternately with orange juice and water mixture.
    Add nuts and apricots and blend well.
    Bake in greased loaf pan for 1 1/2 hours in a 350\u00b0 preheated oven.
    Yield:
    1 loaf.
