Chicken Breasts Marinara - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. water
    3 c. chopped plum tomatoes with juice
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. finely chopped celery
    1 Tbsp. parsley
    1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 bay leaf
    4 chicken breasts (no skin)
    2 c. cooked fettuccine
    2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine onion and 1 tablespoon water.
    Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
    Add water if needed.
    Stir in tomatoes, water, celery, parsley, vinegar, spices and garlic; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer; discard bay leaf.
    Cook chicken until done.
    Cut into strips and add to sauce.
    Spoon over cooked fettuccine.
    Add cheese.
