Leek Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. bacon
    1 medium potato, cut into quarters and pared
    1 medium onion, cut into quarters
    4 leeks, washed well (use only white part)
    2 cans chicken broth
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    pinch of nutmeg
    1 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. chives (optional)
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Cook bacon and remove from pan.
    Add onion, leeks and potato to bacon grease.
    Cook for 1 minute. Add chicken broth, pepper and nutmeg.
    Let simmer for 45 minutes until potato is soft.
    Put into blender and puree (put in a little at a time).
    Put mixture back in pot. Add milk.
    Cook on low until hot (do not boil).
