Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    6 egg yolks
    3/4 c. milk
    1 c. chopped black walnut meats
    2 1/2 c. flour
    3 level tsp. baking powder
    1/3 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Beat the butter and sugar to a cream and add well-beaten yolks of
    the
    eggs, then the milk, chopped nuts (toss nut meats
    in small
    amount
    of flour to coat; this prevents nuts from
    falling to bottom of layers) and extract.
    Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt and add to the other ingredients.
    Bake in two 8-inch layer pans for 30 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Ice
    with Butter
    Frosting.
    If desired, dribble glaze over top and garnish with nut meats.
