Fruit Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemon juice
    1 qt. club soda
    3 (6 oz.) cans frozen orange juice, thawed
    1 qt. ginger ale
    1 (4 oz.) bottle cherries
    1 sliced orange
Preparation
    Heat sugar and water until sugar dissolves; cool.
    Combine juice with mixture.
    Add ginger ale and club soda just before serving.
    Make fruit cups with cherries and orange slices; add water.
    Freeze and use in punch instead of punch ring.
