Manicotti And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion (garlic optional)
    1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 lb. 12 oz. can tomato puree
    1 1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. oregano
    3/4 tsp. basil
    1 pt. Ricotta cheese
    1 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
    10 manicotti shells
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Brown beef, onion and pepper.
    Add puree, salt, pepper, sugar, oregano and basil.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Combine Ricotta, 3/4 cup Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese with egg.
    Cook manicotti shells and fill with cheese mixture.
    Place 1/2 of meat sauce in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Add filled shells.
    Cover with remaining sauce, Mozzarella and Parmesan.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
