One Crust 9-Inch Pie Shell - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    3 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    Sift flour and salt together.
    Cut in shortening, using 2 knives or pastry blended until size of small peas.
    Sprinkle water over mixture, while tossing gently with fork, until particles stick together.
    For ease in rolling out pastry, wrap dough in waxed paper and allow to chill in refrigerator.
    Lightly roll pastry into circle 1-inch larger than pie plate.
    Lift loosely into pie plate.
    Pat out air.
    Fold edges under and crimp.
