Peanut Butter Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. peanut butter
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. light brown sugar
    3 eggs
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream peanut butter, shortening and vanilla.
    Beat in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    Alternately add dry ingredients and milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
    Bake in 3 greased and floured 9-inch layer cake pans.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake shrinks from sides of pans.
    Cool layers on a rack and then frost with Crunchy Topping Frosting. Makes 1 (9-inch) cake.
