Mock Filet Mignon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 slices bacon
    1/4 c. onion, chopped
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (mild or medium)
    1 tsp. salt
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 egg, beaten
    3 Tbsp. ketchup
    3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Place bacon on piece of wax paper so that edge of one overlaps the other.
    Combine beef, onion, egg and cheese.
    Season with ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
    Mix, then press and form into an approximate 10-inch roll.
    Place roll on bacon strips; wrap bacon around roll and fasten with toothpicks.
    Slice so that pieces of bacon circle each patty.
    Broil or grill about 5 minutes on each side.
    Serves 10.
