Beef And Cornbread Supper - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can any kind creamed soup you like
    1/4 c. finely chopped onion
    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. melted shortening
    2/3 c. milk
    6 green pepper rings
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Brown beef in a 12-inch cast-iron frying pan.
    Add soup, onion and Worcestershire sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
    Sift the flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt together into bowl.
    Add shortening and milk and beat until smooth.
    Pour over the ground beef mixture and spread to within 1/2-inch of edge of pan.
    Top with pepper rings.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
