Grandma'S Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Hoover's fine cornmeal, mixed with pinch of salt and pepper
    2 pt. fresh, shucked oysters
    4 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Make a hoecake of cornmeal. Cook on top of stove in hot skillet until done.
    Cool the hoecake.
    Crumble it up and set it aside.
