Filling For Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 T. cornstarch
    1 1/4 cups sugar
    1/4 cup lemon juice (up to 1/2 cup if you like it tart)
    1 T. grated lemon rind
    3 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 cups boiling water
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
    6 T. sugar
Preparation
    Combine cornstarch, sugar, lemon juice and lemon rind in a sauce pan.
    Beat egg yolks, add to the corn starch mixture. Gradually add boiling water.
    Heat to boiling over direct heat. Boil gently 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
