Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. milk
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. water
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 egg yolks
    1 c. heavy cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald milk, stirring constantly.
    Mix the flour and cold water into a paste.
    Add slowly to scalded milk.
    Continue to stir. When thickened, cook over hot water for about 15 minutes.
    Add sugar and egg yolks; cook 2 minutes.
    Strain the custard through a fine sieve.
    When cold, add the cream and vanilla and freeze. This makes a smooth, rich cream.
    If you like things real sweet add 1 cup of sugar, not 3/4.
