Italian Meat Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground round
    2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/4 c. dry red wine
    2 tsp. Italian seasoning
    1/4 tsp. each salt and pepper
    1/8 tsp. cayenne
    28 oz can tomato puree
Preparation
    Crumble meat in skillet and brown, breaking to crumble.
    Drain and discard drippings. Combine mushrooms, onion and garlic in saucepan and cook until onion is tender. Add beef and remaining ingredients, stirring well.
    Cook to thoroughly heat through, stirring twice.
    Serve over hot pasta. Yields 6 cups.
