Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) can sauerkraut, drained
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1 1/3 c. sugar (white)
    1/2 c. chopped green peppers
    1/4 c. pimento (for color)
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Boil 5 minutes together the following:
    2 cups water and sugar. Let cool, then mix other ingredients.
    Add syrup and let stand overnight, if possible.
