Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 slices bread
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. water
3/4 c. white meal
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. plus milk
2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation

Break bread in small pieces.
Add salt, sugar, egg and water. Beat until well blended.
Add meal and baking powder; mix well. Add milk to make a thin batter.
Melt butter in an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9-inch baking pan.
Pour batter in hot margarine.
Bake in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven for about 30 minutes.
