Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 qt. applesauce
1 c. melted shortening
2 tsp. soda
3 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
dash of salt
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. pecans (optional)
3/4 c. raisins

Preparation

Mix applesauce, melted shortening and soda together.
Add eggs, sugar and spices, while continuing to mix.
Put pecans (coarsely chopped) and raisins in flour; toss until coated.
Add to mixture, blending well.
Pour into two large greased loaf pans or 3 smaller ones.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
