Sandies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. pecans, grated or chopped fine as sand
2 Tbsp. white sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. powdered sugar for final coating
Preparation

Measure and mix well all ingredients, except powdered sugar. Hand knead until it forms a soft, well blended ball.
Pinch off small bits of dough.
Roll in hand to make balls 1/2-inch in diameter.
Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 until golden brown or about 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove and coat immediately with powdered sugar.
When cool, coat again with powdered sugar.
Store in sealed container.
Makes 2 dozen.
