Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head lettuce
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 small onion, chopped
    16 or 20 oz. pkg. frozen peas
    mayonnaise
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 (3 oz.) Hormel bacon bits
    4 stalks celery, sliced thin
Preparation
    Layer the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan with lettuce torn into bite size pieces.
    Next, add onion, then green pepper and peas. At this time, spread a light layer of mayonnaise over peas.
    Cover with shredded cheese, then bacon bits.
    Let stand in refrigerator at least 8 hours before serving.
